Systemwide Water Meter Upgrades Underway

You may have seen this vehicle-or the young man driving it-in your yard this summer or fall. Aidan has been assisting MRW with locating and replacing meter pits as part of our ongoing project to upgrade all water meters across the system.

Our current meters are 25-30 years old, and it is time to replace them. The new meters are equipped with cellular technology, allowing them to transmit readings to our office daily at midnight. These advance meters record usage in minute-by-minute intervals, enabling us to detect potential leaks much faster and identify unusually high water use before it becomes a costly issue.

We will also be providing information to customers so you can easily track your own usage and monitor for irregularities.
